2001: A Funk Odyssey, mostly known as the A Funk Odyssey test pressing, is an unreleased test pressing of the album A Funk Odyssey. It was leaked sometime in 2003, and contains many differences, mainly the added interludes and the absence of Love Foolosophy.
Track listing and descriptions
1. Feel So Good (uncut)
The track, compared to the album version, is 1 minute and 3 seconds longer.
2. Little L (extra percussion)
This version of Little L has more percussion added throughout the track.
3. You Give Me Something (uncut)
Much like Feel So Good, the track is nearly 2 minutes longer, mainly comprising of more percussion sections.
4. Interlude 1
A short dialogue between Jay and another person, using a heavy amount of effects.
5. Main Vein (instrumental)
The track is notably missing vocals.
6. Corner of the Earth (vocal variation)
This track is mostly like the final version, but Jay sings slightly differently.
7. Twenty Zero One (uncut)
Compared to the final version, the track is approximately 3 minutes longer. If it had kept this length, it would be the 4th longest officially released Jamiroquai song, behind Just Another Story and ahead of Funktion.
8. Black Crow (vocal variation)
The track has a tiny variation in the vocals, and different mixing.
9. Interlude 2
A minute and 23 second long audio clip of Jay beatboxing with effects. Segments of this track were used in the song Feels Just Like It Should.
This track was originally intended to be on the album, but it ended up being a B-side.
11. Stop Don't Panic (uncut)
The track is uncut, featuring approximately an extra minute.
12. Interlude 3
A short segment of the waltz "The Blue Danube".
13. Picture Of My Life (vocal variation)
Like the other "acoustic" tracks, the song has a slight variation in the singing.
